3 Surprising Things Successful People do on Weekends

Weekends are great for relaxing and unwinding after a week of full day working.

However did you know that successful people like Richard Branson and Warren Buffet spend their weekends differently than normal people?

People with an entrepreneurial mind has a very different thinking compared to people with a full-time dead end job mind because their weekends isn’t as ordinary as you think:

1)  They wake up early

Find it hard to believe, eh?

For most people like you and me, weekends means sleeping and relaxing the whole day, without thinking of anything else.

But for entrepreneurs, business is their life and to make the best out of their day, they need to plan their days carefully.

They need to plan their operations for the coming Monday so that they have something to do and become more efficient at it too.

By waking up early, they can finish more things than normal people because they sleep an average of 6-8 hours only, compared to most people who sleep about 12 hours on average.

2)  They allocate some time to reflect

Have you noticed that most successful people or villain would often look through the window of their high office building towards the city in movies? (Ex: Tony Stark)

That is because most ambitious people would often take time to reflect on their actions.

As Bill Gates would say, “its fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure”.

When reflecting, you do not only reflect on bad things, but good ones as well.

You should try giving self-reflection a go like when you’re jogging or walking somewhere alone as that would really boost your morale and help devise future planning better.

3)  Give and ye shall receive

I’m not a fan on religions but what I do know is that when you give, you tend to get back a few times more.

Sometimes it can be very hard to give because we do not have that much cash but as Anne Frank says, “No one has ever become poor from giving” so there is no harm in trying.

One time when I had only $10 to go home, I decided to give to a poor old man so that he may use that money for his ride home instead.

I didn’t mind having to walk 45 minutes home because I take the bus every single day, there’s no harm in skipping one.

The next day, I noticed that there was a $100 on my office table and to my surprise, it was from that old man that I have helped the day before!

The law of Attraction works in wondrous ways so try giving donations once in a while because not only will it make you feel good, you will get something back in forms that you will never expect!

Conclusion

Sure we all have that perception that weekends should be used to relax, but why waste half a day sleeping when you can use that day to increase productivity and better your life?

Here at KAMIRA Event Management, we promote productivity in life.
